Udupi, Dec 3: AAPI has announced the commencement of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) - Manipal Global Health Summit. This landmark event is scheduled for January 4 to 6 at the Fortune Inn Valley View, Manipal, in collaboration with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). Over 100 AAPI USA physicians, predominantly alumni of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal/Mangaluru, will convene to discuss the 'Future of Healthcare and Artificial Intelligence.' The summit will feature CME lectures, a CEO forum, and a Women’s Forum, highlighting India's dedication to healthcare progress and innovation.
Dr H S Ballal, pro chancellor, MAHE, Manipal, and Dr Sampat Shivangi, president of the Indian American Forum for Political Education, Lt Gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh, vice chancellor, MAHE, Manipal, Dr Sharath Rao, pro vice chancellor, Health Sciences, MAHE, Manipal and Dr Rohit Singh, director, Alumni Relations, MAHE, Manipal addressed the Pre Event press meet, expressing their enthusiasm for the new horizons in global healthcare that the summit aims to explore.

During pre-event press meet, Dr Sampat Shivangi, president of the Indian American Forum for Political Education, chairman, Mississippi State Department of Mental Health highlighted the crucial role of Indo-American collaboration in the medical field. “In the dynamic landscape of healthcare, the partnership between Indian and American physicians is not just beneficial but essential. Together, we can lead the charge towards groundbreaking advancements in medicine, leveraging the combined expertise of our nations' professionals,” said Dr Shivangi. He further emphasized the potential impact of such collaboration: “By working hand in hand, sharing knowledge, and driving innovation, we aim to enhance patient care, medical education, and research across borders. This summit is a beacon for that collaborative spirit and a step towards a future where health care knows no boundaries.”
