Mangaluru, Jan 3: The Yenepoya School and Akshara House of Children organized the annual sports day exclusively for the tiny tots of NEP 1. The event was presented by Amaal Sajjad and Muhammad Harun of Grade 2.

The show began with march past that was presented with poise and pride by the troop that was followed by a delightful welcome run by students of preschool and grades 1 and 2. Principal Uzwal Menezes welcomed the gathering and the dignitaries declared the sports meet open by releasing the balloons.

Director of Academics and Operations, Mishria Javeed, encouraged the participants and thanked the stakeholders for their constant support and trust. Students offered a visual treat to the audience by presenting some outstanding displays that were well synchronized and engaging. It was exciting to witness students of preschool take on recreational games with enthusiasm and thrill.

Shifna Zafreen of Grade 2, proposed a vote of thanks marking the end of the formal programme after which, kickstarted the most awaited part of the evening, the track events. The audience cheered for the participants and each winner constituted victory. The highlight of the day was the 50 meters dash for the dear ‘Mommies’ and ‘Daddies’ of TYS and AHC. The event ended on a pleasant note with the prize distribution ceremony.
