Kundapur, Jan 6: “The prosperity of the nation hinges on the development of the poor, and Prime Minister Modi has initiated numerous programs with this vision in mind. Under his leadership, the country's economic condition remains robust, with the goal of elevating India to the top position by 2047,” stated opposition party leader R Ashok.
He expressed these views during the inauguration of the Vikasita Bharatha Sankalpa Yatre programme, organized in collaboration with Siddapur gram panchayat and Canara Bank Siddapur Branch.
"The BJP-led Narendra Modi government has introduced several initiatives for the welfare of the poor. Banks, through the Vishwakarma project, are providing a loan of one lakh rupees, with Narendra Modi personally guaranteeing the loan. The ongoing Vikasita Bharatha programmes aim to raise awareness of pro-people initiatives at the grassroots level. It is imperative for rural residents to avail themselves of these projects," he emphasized.
Vidhan Parishad opposition party leader Kota Srinivas Poojary highlighted that the Vikasita Sankalpa Yathre seeks to ensure that the center's programs effectively reach their intended beneficiaries.
Presiding over the program, MLA Gururaj Gantihole detailed the Vikasita Bharatha Sankalpa Yatre, emphasizing its role in bringing ambitious government programmes to ordinary citizens.
Notable figures present at the event included Bengaluru MLA Basavaraj, Dasarahalli MLA Muniraju, Siddapur gram panchayat president Srilatha Shetty, Udupi district Arogya Mitra Sujan Mala, Brahmavar Agriculture Science Center Scientist Dr Sadananda Acharya, Canara Bank Udupi regional office chief manager Girish Shanbhog, Siddapur branch senior manager Sameerkumar Desai, Rudset Brahmavar's Santhosh Shetty, Siddapur primary health center medical officer Dr Nagabhooshan Udupa, postal department's Jeevan K, gram panchayat members and staff, bank staff, villagers, and others.
The event included the release of a development calendar by Modi, administration of the oath for Vikasitha Bharatha Sankalpa Yatre, distribution of bonds to Ujwal Yojana beneficiaries, and a drone demonstration.
Siddapur gram panchayat development officer Nagendra extended a warm welcome, and Amoolya Arthika Saksharatha Kendra Udupi senior councillor Meera G delivered a keynote address. Panchayat secretary Gajendra coordinated the programme, and staff Udaya Madiwal proposed vote of thanks.
