Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (MS)

Puttur, Jan 11: A lone tusker roaming on a busy highway caused concern among motorists for some time at Udane of Shiradi village on Monday evening.

Recently, a wild elephant had attacked a car and injured two people travelling in it. However, the said lone tusker did not harm anyone. It arrived from the banks of Gundya rivulet near Udane Market area, crossed the highway and went to the forest area on the other side.

Several complaints have already been raised with the forest department of wild elephants destroying crops of farms at various places of Shiradi village in the past few days.
