Kundapur, Jan 13: In the Swachh Survekshan 2023 conducted by the union government, Kundapur Municipality secured the sixth position in Karnataka. Mangaluru City Corporation is ranked ninth in the state and 253rd in the country, while Udupi secured the tenth position in Karnataka and 278th in the national ranking.
This annual survey, overseen by the Union Ministry for Housing and Urban Affairs, categorizes cities based on populations within and beyond one lakh. The survey, conducted in four phases, witnessed active public participation.
A total of 311 city administration bodies from Karnataka and 4,477 from across India were selected for evaluation in the Swachh Survekshan – 2023.
