Kundapur, Jan 15: The annual Makarasankramana festival, Genda Seve, and fare festival at the historic Maranakatte Brahmalingeshwara temple, founded by Adi Shankaracharya, concluded with the participation of thousands of devotees.
The ritual commenced on the morning of January 14, attracting devotees from Udupi and Mangaluru districts. Devotees gathered to offer prayers, present fruits and flowers, and fulfill their vows.
The event saw the presence of Byndoor MLA Gururaj Gantihole, Kundapur MLA A Kiran Kumar Kodgi, entrepreneur Krishnamurthy Manja (recipient of the Karnataka Rajyotsava award), former MLA K Gopala Poojary, Sukumar Shetty, Raghuram Shetty, temple priests, and other dignitaries. The Genda Seve took place during the night.
