Udupi, Jan 15: "Congress party came to power in the state by tempting people with five guarantees. But the people are anguished by their inadequate implementation," remarked K Raghavendra Kini, the spokesperson for the district BJP.
"The chief minister who had assured that the five guarantees will be implemented without conditions has now imposed several restrictions on them. Former BJP district president Kuyilady Suresh Nayak, who had said that he will shave his head if Congress party implements all the conditions, is bound by his statement even now."
"The state Congress party, which could not implement all the guarantees, has completely ignored the development of the state. It is condemnable," stated Kini.
"Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and DCM D K Shivakumar, who had promised to distribute rice at the rate of 10 kg, could not give a grain of rice. The cash promised instead of five kg rice also has not reached the deserving people."
"The Congress party has said that they will provide a monthly allowance to unemployed degree holders, has imposed restrictions on it also. Free bus travel is disastrous. It is giving the shock of increased electricity tariff and irregular power for the sake of Graha Jyothi free electricity. It is better for Congress leaders to review the implementation of the guarantees."
"The chief minister who said that he will provide Rs 10,000 crores to the Muslim community is unable to see the lines of suicides by farmers. The government has a scarcity of funds to provide compensation for drought. The decision of the Congress party not to go for the inauguration of Sri Rama Mandira is an insult to the majority Hindus. The people who are tired of loot, corruption, and misrule of the Congress party will vote for BJP in the next Loksabha elections, and there will be a scarcity of blades to shave their heads," concluded Kini in the press release.
