Media Release

Mangaluru, Jan 16: The Staff of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru were delighted by the visit of Sr Shamita A.C, the Provincial Superior of the Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province. To add to the joy of the day, Sr Marina AC, the Provincial Bursar accompanied her.

A short programme was organised to welcome them with Tr Leena compering the event with grace. Tr Sandra led a soulful prayer service. Principal, Sr Melissa A.C, welcomed the duo with her trademark zeal and vibrancy. A welcome song by the staff members added musicality and cheer to the day. Thereafter, Tr Anna Crasta & Sr Therese Teena A.C presented a creative introduction of the 105 teaching and non-teaching members of the staff.

The occasion was made meaningful by Sr Shamita’s address to the staff. She appreciated the efforts of the staff in building the institution to its heights. The heart of her address comprised four key points, namely, ‘to strive towards the highest work ethic’, ‘to be creative in our teaching’, ‘to expect more from ourselves’ and ‘to do what is important and not merely, urgent’. The interaction with the staff members infused in them a renewed passion towards their teaching goals. Tr Priyanka expressed genuine words of gratitude. The gathering proceeded to capture a group photograph with the esteemed guests and concluded the visit with refreshments.
