Mangaluru: Yenepoya University organizes day-long workshop on self-employment

Mangaluru, Jan 18: The Yenepoya University, in collaboration with the Dattopant Thengadi National Board for Workers Education and Development, ministry of labour and employment, Government of India, conducted a day-long workshop on self-employment for university staff on January 18.

Umesh C, education officer, regional directorate, Mangaluru, inaugurated the programme. The chief guest, Peter Anthony Pinto, zone trainer at JCI India, emphasized the significance of self-employment and financial management in his address. Harina J Rao and Rekhalatha served as resource persons, providing training on candle making, liquid soap, and phenyl.

The University's centre for environmental studies organized a training session on vermicomposting for the participants. Vinayaka Bhatta took on the role of the programme's compere, while Dr Bhagya B Sharma, deputy director, coordinated the training session.
