KE selects two startups for its inaugural incubation programme 'Elevate by KE'

Bengaluru, Jan 21: Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE), a mutual benefit not for profit networking organisation focusing on nurturing entrepreneurs, has selected two startups for its inaugural incubation programme. Announcement of the selection was done during its bi-monthly lead members meet held in Bengaluru on Friday 19th January at Hotel Grand Magrath.

Two startups selected for this programme are:

1. GoDigitag (Nikitek Systems Pvt Ltd) by Mr Vinod Philips - India’s 1st electronic baggage tag (ebt)

2. Iconic Office Furniture by Mrs Alveera Lobo and Mr Nixon Lobo - Custom made furniture for office spaces in Dubai

This incubation programme is an initiative from KE Global which is the parent body overseeing both Bengaluru and Dubai chapters. Ivan Fernandes, Chairman of KE Global who attended the meeting announced the selection and wished success to both the teams. Speaking on the occasion he briefed on the mission of KE focusing on nurturing entrepreneurship and how this programme is a big step towards helping early stage startups in their journey towards becoming successful and profitable organisations.

He also mentioned that both the KE Chapters would be taking one startup each for incubation assigning two mentors each who will work closely with the founders.

Pramod D'Souza, associate director - Mentoring at KE Bangaluru Chapter, who is in the management committee briefed on the focus areas of the incubation programme.

He also thanked the Incubation committee - Mark D'Souza, Lloyd Mathias and Rohit Fernandes who helped reviewing all the applications, helped in shortlisting
and attending multiple pitch sessions from the startup founders.

He also gave details on the incubation programme. “The programme would involve facilitating the company with a fundraise from KE members, mentoring the founders, helping them on financial prudence, understanding unit-economics, important metrics, working towards profitability” he added.

Claudius Pereira, president of KE Bengaluru Chapter congratulated the startup founders who got selected and wished them all the best. He also requested all the participants to help the founders with referrals and connections which can help the startups on their journey.
