Mangaluru, Jan 22: The sun shone brightly over the vibrant grounds of Mount Carmel Central School, on January 19 as the kindergarten mentors and excited little ones gathered for the much-anticipated kindergarten sports day 2024. The festivities commenced with a heartwarming prayer song by the UKG students, creating a serene atmosphere. Daivik and Aaron, brimming with excitement extended a warm welcome to everyone, while Freya welcomed the chief guest Melwyn Pinto, the physical education trainer of the school, with a sapling. To further captivate the attention of the tiny tots, the UKG students presented a delightful welcome dance with drill display. 

The chief guest, Melwyn inaugurated and declared the sports meet open by releasing the balloons. In his message, he emphasized the importance of sports and physical activity in a child's holistic development. Jeanna and Sheetal expressed gratitude through a heartfelt vote of thanks.

The highlight of the day unfolded with a series of exciting sports events, including the 50 meters race, rabbit race, cone race, ring throw and balancing the disk. The tiny tots exhibited incredible zeal and determination, making every event a spectacle of joy. Cheers and applause echoed as the winners of each event were awarded certificates and medals. The events were concluded with refreshments. The school grounds then transformed into a sea of little dancers as all the kids came together for a lively mass dance. The kindergarten sports day 2024 was indeed a resounding success, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and joy.
