Mumbai, Sep 17: Looks like Katrina Kaif has found herself a new friend. She has maintained her friendship with Pakistani musician-singer-now actor Ali Zafar who is her co-star in her recent release ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ even beyond the sets.

It is learnt that the two actors hit it off real well when they were shooting for the movie together. Not just that, they have also maintained their relationship even when they are off the sets. A source said that the two have bonded so well that they are almost family to each other.

Katrina, even though she is popular in the film industry had earlier mentioned that she had difficulty in building and maintaining friendship. She had said, “It becomes very difficult to have the same set of people around, as you are constantly on the move. Doing a film takes up so much of your time. When you do a film you get involved in it. For the next three months that unit becomes your family and then once the film wraps up, that world ends. Yes you do make friends, but sometimes that changes as well.”

While Salman used to be her friend in need every time she wanted him, it sure looks like Ali could fit into the role very soon.

A source close to Ali says, “Ali treats Kat like a younger sister. He looks after her and makes sure that she is well taken care of. His wife too is very fond of Katrina and looks forward to meeting her.”

Following the success of the movie, Ali recently threw a party to the cast and crew involved. But Katrina was not able to attend the whole party as she had to fly to Dublin on the same day. It is heard that Ali was very pleased with her for making it to the party that he sang a song which was dedicated to her.
