Mangaluru, Jan 26: St Agnes Preparatory CBSE school children celebrated 75th Republic Day with great patriotism and zeal on January 25.

The programme began with a prayer service conducted by teacher and a melodious prayer song by the children seeking blessing to protect all the citizens of India. The intentions to save the country from all harm and danger was put forth by the children and teachers.

The children of LKG sang the patriotic song melodiously depicting their faith in the country. The significance of the day was well presented by the children. A mesmerizing dance and drill display was performed by the children of UKG.

The children recited the National Pledge. The collective recitation echoed the unifying spirit that binds us as one nation. The teachers briefed the children about the role of Dr B R Ambedkar in drafting the constitution of India.

The message was given by Sr M Letetia AC the coordinator, who highlighted the significance of the day and made the children aware that they need to study well now and inculcate good values in life which will help them to be good citizens of the country.

Teacher Mary compered the programme, Teacher Akshitha welcomed the gathering, Teacher Shanthi proposed the vote of thanks. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets.
