Udupi: Barkoor Parish Receives Pilgrimage Holy Cross with Great Honour

Udupi, Sep 20: The pilgrimage the Holy Cross arrived at St Peter’s parish, Barkoor, near here, at 4.30 pm on Sunday September 18 from Holy Rosary parish, Kundapur.
 
Fr Alban D’Souza, parish priest, St Peter’s church, Barkoor, along with Kundapur deanery vicar and parish priest of Holy Rosary Fr Alban D’Souza and a large number of parishioners welcomed and venerated the Holy Cross that was on pilgrimage to 160 parishes in Mangalore diocese, to commemorate its 125th anniversary.

Barkoor parish council vice-president Eugene Quadros was also present on the occasion.
 
A retreat will be held with adoration to Holy Cross at Barkoor parish up to 4.00 pm on Tuesday September 20.
 
The pilgrimage journey of the Holy Cross will continue to Holy Family parish, Brahmavar, near here, from Barkoor parish at 4.00 pm on Tuesday September 20.
