Udupi, Feb 2: The department of computer science and engineering, in association with ISTE student chapter, IEEE student branch, placement, cocurricular and alumni cell jointly organized a talk on ‘Career Opportunities in Cloud Computing’ on January 31.

Rahul Thantri, working in Siemens, Germany, who is an alumnus of SMVITM was the resource person. He said, “In digital age, cloud computing has become a necessary part of almost every industry. This technology enables businesses to store and access files from one centralized online server. As a result, it has become essential for all types of professionals to understand how this technology can be implemented in their own fields.”

The principal, Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat spoke about the significance of such sessions and urged the students to make best use of it. The vice principal, Dr Ganesh Aithal, HOD of CSE Dr Soumya J Bhat, adjunct faculty Chandrashekhara Rao Kuthyar and other faculty and staff members of CSE were present during the event.

Aditya Deshapande invoked the almighty with a prayer and Kathyayini Kamath was the master of ceremony and also presented the vote of thanks.
