Mangalore, Sep 22:  S M Jamdar, principal home secretary for Karnataka in the department of home, revealed that a permanent police force with a strength of 500 personnel is being set up for controlling naxal activities, and that the force will have its headquarters in Karkala.

He was speaking to reporters during his visit to the city on Wednesday September 21. “The force will also be utilized for regulating terrorist and extremist activities in the rural belts of the coast except urban areas,” he explained. At present, the Anti Naxal Force comprises police personnel deputed from different contingents. They return to their parent departments once their deputation period concludes. 

Jamdar also revealed that four new police stations will be added to the Coastal Security Police Force, and that retired personnel of Coast Guard and security forces too have a provision to get into this service.

    No amount of force can stop the growth of Naxalism.Root of the naxalism is in inequality, oppression and exploitation. In a country where poverty and poor are become a subject of fun( Planning commission decision of earning of more than Rs 32.00 is the parameter of poverty) expansion of naxalism is inevitable. Rebellion is the justice where oppression prevails. Karnataka has the great tradition of Saket Rajan. Blood of these martyrs will not go in vein no matter ruling class try.
