Sullia, Feb 11: Assembly Speaker U T Khader expressed gratitude and honored three journalists from Mangaluru who played a crucial role in locating a missing girl within an hour. The felicitation took place during the fifth Grama Vastavaya of journalists held at Kollamogra near Subrahmanya on Saturday.

The trio of journalists, who were on a trek to Zoida, found themselves at the Mulki bus stand, where they encountered a laborer from Bagalkot publicly distraught over her missing daughter. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the journalists acted promptly, gathering information that the girl had boarded a KSRTC bus. With the assistance of SP Dr. Arun K, they successfully located the girl near Udupi within an hour. Subsequently, they escorted the girl's parents in their vehicle and handed over the child to them at the Udupi government bus stand.
