Mangaluru, Feb 12: In a pioneering endeavour aimed at nurturing humane values among its MBA students, the Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM), Mangalore, has inaugurated the 'Wall of Kindness' on its campus. The Wall of Kindness serves as a platform where students are encouraged to contribute miscellaneous useful items they no longer require, enabling those in need to access them freely. Any item in good usable condition can be placed at the designated counter, and individuals seeking such items may take them without any exchange of names or personal information. Thus, the transaction is entirely anonymous, and neither the name of the donor nor the name of the benefactor will be known to anyone.
The Wall of Kindness was dedicated to the student community by Manel Annappa Nayak, the president of Women’s National Education Society (WNES), at the institute campus at Bondel on Friday, February 9. Addressing the gathering, Manel Annappa Nayak appreciated the initiative and encouraged the students and staff to embrace this noble endeavor. “Be generous and make the best use of the Wall of Kindness to renew your connect with humanity,” he said, giving examples of similar initiatives in other countries.
WNES vice presidents Suresh Pai and Dr Manjula K T, honorary secretary Jeevandas Narayan, Member Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, governing body Member Raghav Kamath, administrative officer, Besant Group of Institutions Rajashekar Hebbar and the institute director Dr Molly S Chaudhuri were present.
