Udupi, Feb 13: The inauguration of MBA post-graduate programme was held at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal on February 13.
Paramapoojya Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, president of Shri Sode Vadiraja Matha Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi was presided over the inaugural ceremony and in his presidential remarks remembered the wish of former minister Dr V S Acharya, to start MBA programme by Shri Sode Vadiraja Math and expressed his happiness as Dr V S Acharya’s wish is getting fulfilled today. The Swamiji has endorsed that Shri Vadirajaru was the role model for all management professionals, as he was the man behind setting up of ashtamatha system in Udupi. The Swamiji insisted the students to contribute in making India a ‘Ramarajya’. The Swamiji briefed the relationship between Bhagavadgeetha and the management. The Swamiji insisted the inculcation of philosophy in education, which is leading to innovation. Also, the Swamiji has insisted the students to think of becoming entrepreneurs. Finally, the Swamiji has conveyed his best wishes to the newly inducted students of the MBA programme.
Dr Gururaj H Kidiyoor, director of Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte was the chief guest of the ceremony. He congratulated SMVITM for starting a post graduate programme. In his address, briefed the need of staring MBA programme in a country like India, which is aiming to become a largest economy in the world. He insisted the students to develop good communication skills and cultivate the habit of reading business articles in the newspapers. Also, suggested to take up managerial problems encountered in the industries and think of providing solutions for the same. He congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to the newly inducted students of the MBA programme.
P Srinivasa Tantry, vice-president of SSVMET, Rathnakumar, secretary of SSVMET, principal of SMVITM Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat and director of the MBA programme Dr Suraj Francis Noronha were present on the dais.
Supritha, second year student of ECE rendered invocation. Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat welcomed the gathering. Administrative Officer of MBA programme Vidya Bhat introduced the chief guest. Dr Suraj Francis Noronha proposed vote of thanks. Akshatha Rao L, assistant professor in the department of electronics and communication engineering compered the programme.
The vice-principal Dr Ganesh Aithal, deans, HODs of various departments, faculty and staff members of SMVITM and Niramaya Institute of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences were present in the ceremony.
