Udupi: Senior Muslim leader Kasim Barakur passes away

Udupi, Feb 15: Jamiatul Falah Dakshina Kannada And Udupi district general secretary and senior Muslim leader Kasim Barakur (70) passed away in a Udupi private hospital on February 15 afternoon due to a brief illness.

He served as district president of Udupi district Muslim Union, president of Jamiyyatul Falah Udupi unit, president of Barakur Malik Deenar Juma Masjid, secretary of Udupi district minorities forum and as office bearers in many organizations.

He is survived by wife, two daughters, a son and many relatives and friends.
