Kundapur, Feb 19: Huge protest was held at Senapura railway station urging stoppage of express trains. The protest was led y Express train stoppage protest committee.

Protesters said, “All amenities are available at the Senapura railway station for express train stoppage. The railway department should respond to the demands of the public. If express train stops at Senapura it will be convenient for people of 24 villages falling under 15 gram panchayats. Three tracks are laid when Senapura train station was built. So express trains can stop without any inconvenience. We hereby give three months’ time to the railway department to consider our demand. If this facility is denied, indefinite protest will be held by the residents of 25 villages.”

A mammoth protest rally was taken from Nada gram panchayat to Senpaur railway station before the protest meeting.
