Mangaluru, Feb 19: The 12th DYFI state convention, spanning three days, is scheduled to take place from February 25th at Thokkottu, under the theme of "Harmony, Employment, and Dignified Life," as announced by DYFI state president Muneer Katipalla.

The convention will witness the inauguration by retired High Court judge Justice HN Nagamohan Das, with the presence of Akhila Bharath DYFI president AA Raheem, an opening address by honorary president of the 12th state convention AB Ibrahim, and the chairmanship of DYFI state president Muneer Katipalla. Also in attendance will be secretary Basavaraj Pooja and DYFI state committee member Renuka Kahar.

Cultural events by PYM troupes Bajal are scheduled for February 25th, followed by a Sauhardha Gayana on February 26th by Ekathari Haadugaara Naada Maninaalkur and team. Additionally, an Amrutha Smarane will be conducted in memory of Dr Amrutha Someshwara by Mime Ramdas, Meghana Kundapura, and team.

The final day, February 27, will feature a Youth March from Kutthar junction to Unity ground, followed by a formal function chaired by CPIM central committee general secretary Seetharam Yechuri. The event will also include the presence of film actor Prakash Rai, Akhila Bharath DYFI president AA Raheem, and the presidency of DYFI state president Muneer Katipalla.

Why only Tipu Sultan banner needs permission?

Meanwhile, when asked about the Tipu Sultan banner controversy, Muneer Katipalla said, "We received a notice from the police to remove the Tipu Sultan flex, but we need to know the accurate reason for its removal. It may be because BJP can't spare Tipu Sultan, but we can't remove the banner. Did the police check the permission for every banner erected in the city? Why only when Tipu Sultan's banner needs permission? We need clear information regarding the reasons for removing the Tipu Sultan banner. During the Ram Mandir inauguration, BJP also erected banners and misused religious beliefs.

We are not like the BJP, who protested against Yettinahole and, after they came to power, released funds for the same. Every king had good and bad aspects; we can't focus only on the negative side. Even the BJP had a 40% commission tag; should we compare them to Tipu Sultan?"

Working president Dr Krishnappa Konchady, general secretary Santhosh Bajal, Sunil Kumar Bajal, treasurer B K Imthiyaz, and others will also be in attendance.

BJP govt is against DYFI and behind it to ban DYFI because its agenda is against BJP principles. This shows that BJP doesn’t care for people Hindus or others and doesn't want to create employment opportunities, bring inflation down and give people promised dignified life of Achhe Dins.
