Mangaluru, Feb 21: "Krishna's message to Arjuna, 'Do your work and do not expect anything in return,' resonates with Satyajit Suratkal's selfless contributions. Leading a Hindu organization since the age of 21, he raised the flag at Kittur fort with great effort. Despite 37 years of dedicated service without expectations, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has overlooked him. To address our concerns, a people's convention will be held on February 25 at Buntara Bhavan. While the BJP questions his sudden candidacy, it is not his ambition but the people's desire to see their leader stand for election," stated Acchut Amin on Thursday, February 21.
"A new face is imperative, and we firmly believe that Satyajit Suratkal is the most suitable and deserving candidate. These are not just my words but the sentiments echoed by his supporters. We cannot afford to overlook such a remarkable individual, and it is the people who need him," he said.
On a query about the expected turnout for the convention and the necessity for Satyajit Suratkal to stand from the BJP, Acchut Amin explained, “Satyajit Suratkal has a deep understanding of the Sangh Parivar and has dedicatedly served for a significant period. Despite receiving invitations from various parties, he remains committed to his ideology and cannot compromise on it. While his past statements regarding the BJP are known, simply criticizing from the sidelines will not bring about any change. Therefore, it is essential to engage in dialogue and discuss how to address the situation. We will voice our demands on February 25, and whatever unfolds afterward is beyond our control. However, we remain hopeful for a positive outcome.'"
