Udupi: Daya Special School students showcase talents at Trinity visit

Udupi, Feb 23: The students of Daya Special School, Beltangady paid a visit to Trinity Central School, Perampally  on February 21.

The principal Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo also spoke on this occasion. He heartily welcomed all the students to Trinity and congratulated Fr Vinod Mascarenhas for his selfless service. He requested the students to continue to help the students of DAYA Special School and thanked their parents for their support in the past years. 

Fr Vinod Mascarenhas, the director of the unit specially thanked all the students and their parents for their never-ending support. He elucidated the importance of taking care of the students who are differently gifted or differently abled. He explained about the different programmes and activities conducted for the students in the centre. 

The students visited their sister concern institute and displayed their wonderful talents through a cultural programme. The differently abled students performed a spectacular dance and sang a harmonious song which appealed the eyes of the audience. Every year the students of Trinity Central School and their families lend a helping hand to DAYA Special School by contributing some amount for the betterment of the special school. 

Daya Special School is a unit of Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra and is located in Beltagady. It caters to the needs of the differently abled children in and around Beltangady Taluk. This centre was born out of strong conviction that children undoubtedly grow and learn to their full potential within a secure and nurturing environment.
