Bengaluru, Feb 27: The Congress government is working for realising the dream of former chief minister K C Reddy with regard to administration and building Karnataka, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday.
He paid homage to K C Reddy by garlanding his picture to mark the death anniversary in Vidhana Soudha.
Speaking to media persons after offering floral tribute to late K C Reddy’s photo, he said the 48th death anniversary of Karnataka’s first chief minister is an occasion to appreciate his contribution for the development of the State.
K C Reddy was a freedom fighter and had worked for building modern Karnataka, Siddaramaiah said recalling that Reddy had become the first chief minister of the state after the assembly elections held following the adoption the Indian Constitution. "We are privileged to remember his contribution and honour him," he added.
The Chief Minister later inaugurated the conference of the State Government Employees Association.
