Kundapur, Feb 29: Minister of school education and literacy, Madhu Bangarappa, inaugurated the auditorium of Nagooru Government Higher Primary School in Byndoor as part of its golden jubilee celebrations on Thursday, February 29.
Addressing the gathering, Madhu Bangarappa expressed pride in serving the education department, which caters to 1 crore, 20 lac students. He emphasized the importance of providing quality education to children, considering it as a means of nurturing good citizens for the country. Bangarappa also highlighted the significance of the Indian constitution as the guiding book, promoting unity in diversity.
During the event, various projects worth Rs 100 lacs were inaugurated, and Padmashree Harekala Hajabba was felicitated. Minister Madhu Bangarappa received a shawl as part of the felicitation. Additionally, a family accident insurance cheque worth Rs five lacs was released. The flag was unfurled by Kirimanjeshwar Gram Panchayat President Shekar Kharvi, and SDMC President Dinesh Acharya presided over the program.
Kirimanjeshwar gram panchayat member Subbanna Shetty initiated the municipal council procession, in the presence of Udupi district DDPI Ganapathi K, block education officer Nagesh K Naik, former zilla panchayat president Raju Poojary, former taluk panchayat member Shamala Kunder, former zilla panchayat member Gauri Devadiga, and others. Minister Madhu Bangarappa personally distributed chocolates to the children after the procession.
