Islamabad, Sep 27 (IANS): Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar is expected to focus on Pakistan's efforts to combat terrorism in her maiden address at the UN General Assembly Tuesday, it was reported here.
Her address comes at a time when tensions are running high between the US and Pakistan following accusations of the Pakistani spy agency backing a militant group attacking American targets in Afghanistan, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.
Pakistan has denied that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has any links with the Haqqani network, which is blamed for carrying out last week's attacks on American embassy in Kabul.
In a series of media interviews, the foreign minister has challenged the US to share with Pakistan any evidence it might have about Pakistani involvement with the militants.
She has highlighted the sacrifices Pakistan has made in the fight against terror.
Apart from terrorism, Khar will reiterate Pakistan's support for a dialogue with India on all outstanding issues between the two countries.
After her address, the foreign minister will leave for Pakistan.
