Bengaluru, Mar 2: Alliance University proudly unveils its Cutting-Edge Media Lab, a transformative addition that strengthens its commitment to merging innovative technology with advanced education in film and media studies. The inauguration ceremony, held today, featured Dr T G Sitharam, chairman of the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), as the esteemed guest of honor.

Dr Sitharam officially inaugurated the Media Lab, highlighting its potential to foster collaboration between academia and the professional media industry. He envisioned joint content creation exploring the intersection of technology and cultural identity. Dr Sitharam also emphasized the crucial role media production plays in promoting tourism and media literacy initiatives.

Alliance University's Media Lab boasts a professional video setup, industry-standard audio facilities, and a versatile production floor catering to film, news, and podcast production. Students will gain hands-on experience in a comprehensive learning environment, further enhanced by a dedicated post-production facility. 

Pro-Chancellor Abhay Chebbi views the media lab as a platform for students to experience a simulated professional media environment. “Students will manage the lab independently, gaining practical experience in diverse areas like documentary filmmaking, print media production, film and literary festival coordination, film club and debating society leadership, podcast creation, and social media content management. This aligns with Alliance University's longstanding commitment to providing well-rounded and immersive education,” he said.  

The media lab inauguration marks a significant milestone in Alliance University's mission to provide students with a cutting-edge education in media studies. This state-of-the-art facility equips them with the invaluable skills and experiences necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving media landscape, he added.
