Bihar, Mar 3: Garima Lohia, a resident of Buxar in Bihar, and belonging to a business-oriented family, achieved the remarkable feat of securing All India Rank (AIR) 2 in the UPSC 2022 exams.

Garima completed her degree in accounting from Kirori Mal College at Delhi University in 2020. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, which brought life to a standstill globally, Garima utilized the lockdown restrictions to her advantage. She dedicatedly studied for 12 hours every day, relying on online resources and YouTube for assistance. Unfortunately, Garima lost her father in a road accident nine years ago.

Choosing to forgo traditional coaching methods, Garima relied on self-study through online tools. Although her initial attempt at clearing the UPSC in 2021 did not succeed, the setback fueled Garima's determination to achieve her goal. In 2022, she emerged victorious, securing an impressive AIR 2.
