Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 27 (IANS): The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) will host its executive council (EC) meet in Kerala for the first time here Thursday.
The EC is the highest decision-making body of Nasscom and would meet at the IBS campus in Technopark.
Nasscom, the premier trade body and the chamber of commerce of the IT-BPO industries in India, has over 1,200 members whose combined turnover exceeds 95 percent of the industry's revenue.
"Hosting such meetings is an important step in bringing the state onto the IT map of the country," said V.K. Mathews, executive chairman of the IBS Group, an IT company.
On Friday, the EC would meet Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
The EC consists of business leaders like NIIT chairman Rajendra Singh Pawar, TCS CEO N. Chandrasekaran, and Wipro CEO T.K. Kurien.
