Beltangady, Mar 4: A boy got injured as a gaur attacked an auto rickshaw at Puduvettu in the taluk.

Rickshaw driver Denis, resident of Bolminar of Puduvettu, was going along with his son Dilshan (15) in the auto-rickshaw from Dharmasthala to Puduvettu via Dharmasthala-Mundaje reserve forest road on Saturday night. As his vehicle reached Dadapittilu, the gaur attacked the auto-rickshaw. The vehicle got toppled due to the attack and Dilshan received injuries on his head. He is admitted to a private hospital in Ujire.

Forest department officials visited the spot and are investigating further.
