Mangaluru, Mar 5: 'Koopa Mandooka' short film produced under the banner of Lakumi Creations by Kishore D Shetty and directed by young drama and film actor Chetan G Pilar has bagged nine awards during the Astra group cine awards programme. The event was held by the association of coastal wood artists and technicians, Vittal Shetty Foundation and Fiza by Nexus mall.
Santhosh Acharya Gumpalaje received the award for best photography, Tulasidas Manjeshwar for best art, Thimmappa Kulal for best actor, Sunita Yekkur for best supporting actress, Guru Bayar for best music and Chetan G Pilar received the award for best story, script and best direction. Chetan G Pilar has also received the award for best film, his maiden venture.
Chetan G Pilar has received awards in competitions as a drama artiste, director, film actor and acting trainer. He has acted in Tulu film 'Namma Kudla'. He is the recipient of the award for president of India awarded film, directed by Rishabh Shetty 'Sarkari hiriya prathamika Shale Kasargod' and 'Tobi' film directed by Raj B Shetty. He was also the winner of Namma TV 'Undu Nataka season 3'.
He has continued his career as the artiste of Lakumi drama troupe under the leadership of Kishore D Shetty.
