Byndoor, Mar 7: Two individuals sustained serious injuries in a collision involving a bus and a truck near Shiroor Karikatte on Wednesday.
The incident occurred when a KSRTC bus traveling from Byndoor to Bhatkal encountered a sudden appearance of a bike on the road as it reached Karikatte. In response, the bus driver abruptly applied the brakes, leading to a collision with a truck traveling at high speed behind the bus. The impact caused significant damage to the truck, resulting in serious injuries to two occupants. Additionally, a woman seated in the back of the bus suffered minor injuries. All injured parties have been hospitalized in Byndoor.
Authorities have registered a case regarding the incident at the Byndoor police station.
