Udupi, Mar 7: The partnership with Springer Nature marks a significant milestone for Manipal Universal Press (MUP), MAHE. This is expected to elevate the visibility and accessibility of our research endeavours globally, especially this year which is announced as a Year of Research Excellence, said Lt Gen Dr M D Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor of MAHE. Speaking after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Springer Nature, he emphasized partnering with Springer Nature for co-publishing offers our faculty and researchers an exceptional platform to disseminate their scholarly work, thereby enhancing the reach and influence of our academic contributions.
The MoU between MAHE and Springer Nature provides opportunities for authors to reach their readers within India through MUP’s extraordinary network and readers across the world by leveraging the strengths of Springer Nature, said Prof Neeta Inamdar, Chief Editor of MUP.
Dr Naren Aggarwal, Editorial Director – Asia for medical and life sciences who signed the agreement on behalf of Springer Nature expressed his admiration for the work done by MUP in last decade and said, the MoU would be a mutually beneficial exercise.
An information seminar for prospective authors in humanities and social sciences is scheduled on 7 March by Ms Satvinder Kaur, Senior Editor - Asia of Springer Nature. Another information seminar for prospective authors in medicine, health sciences and life sciences is scheduled on 8 March by Dr Naren Aggarwal which will be chaired by Dr Sharath Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Manipal.
This strategic collaboration between Manipal Universal Press and Springer Nature is poised to elevate the quality and impact of scholarly publications emerging from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, fostering a culture of academic excellence and innovation.
