New Delhi: Ryan Group’s Grace Pinto Gets HelpAge Excellence Award

New Delhi, Oct 3: On the occasion of ‘World Elders Day’, Grace Pinto, managing director of Ryan International Group of Institutions, was presented with the ‘Excellence Award 2011’ by minister of social justice and empowerment Mukul Wasnik in a programme organized by HelpAge India here on Saturday October 1, for her commendable contribution to the cause and care of the under privileged elders in society.

Pinto has provided ardent support to elderly people and has shown a keen interest in various initiatives to protect their rights and providing relief to them through various interventions. In order to inculcate the love and care for the elderly amongst her students, she has given access to promulgate value education on Age Care programmes in her institutions.

Her support to the elderly was lauded by Amal Sanguli, president, HelpAge India, M M Sabharwal, president Emeritus, and Mathews, chief executive, Helpage India.

During this ceremony, Pinto launched the website ‘SAVE’ (Student Action for Value Education), an initiative of HelpAge India. The programme concluded with a tribute to the nation by Ryan students.
