Mangaluru, Mar 25: The SCS Riverside campus hosted a memorable convocation ceremony for its Senior Kindergarten students on March 23. Under the theme 'Metamorphosis', the event celebrated the transformative journey of the young graduates as they transition from their early years to the threshold of their educational journey.
Vinaya D'Souza, principal of SCS Preschools, Mangaluru, reflected on the growth of the graduates, likening it to the remarkable transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly. She expressed pride in the development of the students from their initial steps into the classrooms to the confident individuals they have become today.
Prof Manoj Louis from Dr P Dayananda Pai P Satisha Pai Government First Grade College, Car Street, Mangaluru, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of providing children with a positive and nurturing environment for their growth. He urged parents to avoid being overly possessive or overprotective, highlighting the need for children to experience safety and positivity to flourish.
Dr Rajneesh Sorake, president of SCS Group of Institutions, presided over the ceremony, extending congratulations to both the graduates and their parents. The presence of U K Khalid, administrative officer of SCS Group of Institutions, and Leena Sequeira, retired teacher from St Ann's School Coorg, among other dignitaries, added to the significance of the event.
The convocation began with a warm welcome from Vinaya D'Souza, followed by Manjula as the master of ceremony guiding the proceedings. Venita concluded the event with a heartfelt vote of thanks.
