Jaipur, Mar 26: In the recently released results by ICAI, Madhur Jain (22), from Jaipur, emerged as the top scorer in India, achieving a remarkable score of 619 out of 800, equating to 77.38% marks.

Reflecting on his achievement, Madhur states, “Over the past six months, I dedicated all my time to studying. After completing the exam coaching in March, I focused solely on self-study using the materials provided by the coaching institute.”

Jain allocated two to three months to each of the eight subjects, diligently preparing with numerous mock tests in readiness for the final examination. Despite his thorough preparation, he was genuinely taken aback by his top-ranking performance in the nation. While he was confident of passing, securing the top position exceeded his expectations.

Madhur attributes his inspiration to his brother and cousins, all of whom are Chartered Accountants. Notably, his elder brother secured the sixth rank in India in the 2020 CA examinations.

Despite the loss of his father during the Covid pandemic in 2020, Madhur remained resolute in pursuing his goals. Excelling academically from a young age, he achieved a remarkable 93.6% in class 12 and a perfect CGPA of 10 in 10th grade.

In addition to acing the final CA exams, Madhur clinched the 15th rank in the Foundation course and the 13th in the Intermediate course. Concurrently pursuing CFA and BCom from IGNOU, he successfully cleared level 1 in both.

Madhur plans to pursue CFA to broaden his career prospects. While he currently has no plans to relocate overseas, he believes that obtaining the CFA qualification will open up new avenues for him.
