Now, Sightsee in Tripura on Choppers


Agartala, Oct 3 (IANS): The Left Front government in Tripura Monday introduced helicopter rides for Durga Puja revelers and sightseers to enable them get an aerial view of tourists spots and puja celebrations in Agartala. The service will later be extended to other parts of the state.

"For 30-minute sightseeing and witnessing Durga Puja, per head cost for an adult is just Rs.500 and for children below 12 is Rs.400," Transport Minister Manik Dey said.

"The joy ride would be conducted in 11-seater double-engine choppers of the Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd," the minister said, adding the fare is subsidised by the state government.

"Subsequently, the tour through helicopter would be initiated in the district towns and other areas of the state," the minister told reporters.
