Mangaluru, Mar 26: M V Balakrishnan, xcandidate of Left Democratic Front (LDF) from Kasargod Lok Sabha constituency met Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangaluru and sought his support and wishes.
The candidate promised the bishop that he would raise his voice against the fascism and Sangh Parivar autocracy in the parliament. He also assured the bishop to fight against the communal forces and fundamentalists.
The bishop wished M V Balakrishnan the best in the upcoming elections and urged him to stand with the community in its difficult times. He also sought details of an electoral bond case which was moved by CPIM in the Supreme Court and got a verdict in its favour.
The candidates were accompanied by CPIM leaders K R Jayananda, Raghudev Master, Catholic Sabha Central Committee members Raju Stephan D'Souza Kumbla, Stevan Valencia, Stany Lobo Bantwal and writer Stany Bela.
