Mangaluru: Externment order issued against 13 more individuals taking the total to 51

Mangaluru, Mar 26: In an effort to conduct the Lok Sabha elections 2024 peacefully and fairly, based on the directions of the Election Commission, the Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate has been implementing various preventive measures to maintain public peace and order.

As part of this, from March 23 to 26 externment orders have been issued against 13 individuals.

This is in addition to 48 people against externment orders were issued earlier this month. They have been externed to different districts and a close watch is being kept over their activities, in an effort to have peaceful elections.

Until March 26 security bonds have been imposed on 480 individuals who are habitual offenders and likely to commit breach of the peace this year.
