Moodbidri, Mar 27: Dharma Raja Indra (94), a revered Jain temple priest known for his prolific contributions to Jain literature and poetry, breathed his last at his residence on Wednesday, March 27.

Renowned for his authorship of various religious works, Indra dedicated himself to writing and distributing books in the realm of Jain literature and poetry. Despite his advanced age, he actively participated in the annual pooja at the Moodbidri temple, where he also showcased his talent in playing the harmonium.

Indra was honored by the Jain Kashi trust for his significant contributions to the community. Swasthishree Dr Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Panditacharya, the pontiff of Digambar Jain Mutt, extended his condolences on Indra's demise, praying for the peace of his soul and offering strength to his bereaved family during this difficult time.
