Udupi: Prelude to Lok Sabha elections - Meeting held at Congress Bhavan

Udupi, Mar 28: A meeting took place at the Congress Bhavan in Brahmagiri on Wednesday as a prelude to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, led by Ramesh Kanchan, the block Congress president of Udupi.

Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, the president of the district Congress committee, formally welcomed Manoj Karkera into the party by presenting him with the party flag.

Addressing the gathering, J P Hegde, the Congress Lok Sabha candidate for the Udupi-Chikkamagalur constituency, stated, “I played a significant role in the formation of Udupi district many years ago. Today, the district has witnessed remarkable development. I have made sincere efforts to provide subsidies to fishermen and ensure fair prices for arecanut growers through the Gorakhnath committee.”

Among those present were Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Gafoor, Sudhir Kumar Maroli, Geeta Waghle, Kishan Hegde, Dinesh Puthran, Sukumar, Prasad Raj Kanchan, Murali Shetty, Divakar Kundar, Deepak Kotian, Kiran Hegde, Harish Kini, and other party workers.

Ramesh Kanchan extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Satish Kumar Manchi and Sathish Kodavoor served as the comperes, while Ganesh Nergi delivered the vote of thanks.
