I am committed to following the path he laid out," expressed Geetha Shivarajkumar, the Lok Sabha candidate from Shivamogga.

She addressed a gathering of party workers organized by the rural Congress of the Byndoor Assembly constituency in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Thursday, March 28.

Minister Madhu Bangarappa remarked that well-wishers often see shades of Bangarappa among them. "Everyone, including members of the opposition party, recalls his legacy. Geetha Shivarajkumar has stepped forward to contest as the Congress candidate, carrying forward his legacy as his daughter. Her landslide victory hinges on the cooperation of the voters. I have entrusted my elder sister into your care with a service-oriented mindset," he stated.

Former MLA B M Sukumar Shetty expressed confidence that Byndoor would experience significant progress if Geeta Shivaraj Kumar were elected. "Women possess the ability to empathize with the people's struggles. Therefore, our candidate is bound to succeed. The assurances of the state government have reached every household effectively. The foresight of chief minister Devraj Urs and Bangarappa is still remembered by the people. The contributions of the current Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are invaluable," he added.

Former MLAs K Gopala Poojary, B M Sukumar Shetty, Ayanoor Manjunath, actor Shivaraj Kumar, G M Bava, S Raju Poojary, block Congress president Arvind Poojary, secretary Mohan Poojary, Bharath Devadiga, Manjunath Poojary, Girish Poojary, rural Congress president Govinda Poojary, and others graced the occasion.
