Mangaluru, Apr 2: Dakshina Kannada district president of BJP, Sathish Kumpala, stated, “National and state-level BJP leaders such as Smriti Irani, Sunil Kumar, Prahalad Joshi, Nalin Kumar Kateel, and Kota Srinivas Poojary will be present in Mangaluru to support Capt Brijesh Chowta.”

Addressing the media on Tuesday, April 2, at the BJP office, Sathish Kumpala said, "Capt Brijesh Chowta has been announced as the BJP candidate in all 8 constituencies, and in 9 blocks, we have reached out to all party members. Around 1876 booths are operational, and in Ravishankar Mijar, Roopa D Bangera, Chandrashekhar, Jagadish, Sulochana and Radhakrishna Budiyar are appointed. To reach out to women, all BJP women workers will raise awareness. In Mangaluru, all booth work is complete, and today the work will be finished in Sullia."

He further added, "Regarding nomination, all documentation will be submitted by Capt Brijesh Chowta. On April 4, BJP workers and supporters will gather in huge numbers, and prominent figures such as Nalin Kumar Kateel, Sunil Kumar, Prahalad Joshi, Kota Srinivas, along with all MLAs and MPs, will be present. On April 5, Smriti Irani will be in the city, and many national and state-level leaders will attend. On April 21, a Mahabhiyana program will be held."

When asked about Satyajit Suratkal's press meet expressing support for Congress candidate Padmaraj R, Sathish Kumpala said, "Satyajit has expressed his beliefs, and we have not removed him from the party. What he said in the press meet will be taken into consideration. Everyone is welcome in BJP, and we believe that people will support us. I am Billava, and I have never felt that Kota Srinivas is not Billava, and today he has received a ticket. Although Satyajit has helped the RSS and BJP party, he is now engaging in caste politics, and he needs to explain why he chose this path. I have clearly stated that Satyajith was part of the BJP party even when giving the press meet. He should have considered himself a BJP worker; therefore, we will decide on the next steps with our senior party members."

On support from the Putila Parivar, Sathish Kumpala said, "After dissolving, they have joined the BJP party, and they are fully committed. They are working with us, and hence, they will also participate and support us in this election."

Regarding the Mahabhiyana process, he said, "It is just booth-level work, and all the MLAs and MPs will visit their booths, interact with people, and urge them to vote for the right candidate."

Over Annamalai's arrival to the DK district, he said, "The names are not yet finalized since elections are approaching. Prahalad Joshi has mentioned it, but nothing can be finalized until the last moment."

Nithin Kumar, Ravishankar Mijar, Premanand Shetty, Sanjay Prabhu, and others were present.
