Udupi, Apr 3: BJP candidate of Lok Sabha Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency Kota Srinivas Poojary filed his nomination on April 3, at Udupi deputy commissioner office.
He was accompanied by former minister C T Ravi, MLAs Gurme Suresh Shetty, Yashpal Suvarna, JD(S) leader and MLC Bhojegowda.
A formal meeting of party workers was held ahead of the filing of nominations for BJP candidate Kota Srinivas Poojary.
MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal emphasized, "I have come to witness the emergence of Coastal Hindutva in North Karnataka. This election is about saving Sanatana Dharma, not just a Modi election. A person from Tihar Jail asks for 15 lac. If you sell your property, you can give it. The past ten years were just a trailer; the real picture is yet to come. Not only Kejriwal, but everyone will go to jail. If Modi is elected in 2024, dynasty politics will be eradicated. Rahul changes when he visits a temple, mosque, or church. Siddaramaiah wishes to be born as a Muslim in the next life. If Siddaramaiah steps down, Congress will disappear."
Addressing the party workers, former minister and BJP leader CT Ravi stated, "This election is about policy and leadership. Congress has been involved in scams of enormous proportions. Seven to twenty lac crores of tax money was collected during the Modi era. Congress has given tickets to 14 Congress families. Congress workers are only there to serve the party. BJP's leadership is recognized globally. Modi has been praised by America, Germany, Israel, Ukraine, and Russia. Our goal is for India to become the Vishwaguru in Amritkaal. Do not give authority to cover up corruption or to divide the country based on caste. Congress sympathizes with terrorists and rioters. The Rameshwar Cafe Blast Case has links to Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada. The clamor for the construction of Babri Masjid is resurfacing. Will you give it a chance? The Modi government has the strength to rebuild Mathura and Kashi. Lies and Congress go hand in hand."
BJP Udupi district president Kishore Kumar Kundapur, and other leaders were present.
