Mangaluru, Apr 7: District administration of Dakshina Kannada has installed 23 check posts to prevent illegal activities with regards to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The district administration has installed 23 check posts in eight legislative constituencies. Special monitoring is done on transportation of cash. Elections are held in Kasargod of Kerala on April 26 itself. So police and election officials are involved in strict checking at the border areas.

Out of the 23 check posts, nine are inter-state, while seven each are inter-district and local.
