Ujire, Apr 8: Fr James D’ Souza, parish priest of Ujire St Antony Church laid foundation for a new house to be constructed under the leadership of the parish for Rosy Pais family, of St Lawrence ward.
Anugraha pre university college principal Fr Vijay Lobo, Fr Sunil Menezes currently serving at Tanzania, pastoral council vice-president and project supervisor Antony Fernandes, secretary Ligory Vas, ward gurkar William D’ Souza, ward representatives Robert and Merlin D’ Souza, SVP president Richard D’ Souza, community convener Roshan D’ Souza, donors and beneficiary family members were present.
The church has taken up renovation and construction of houses for families in the parish with help from donors for the last four years. Four houses at a cost of Rs 23 lacs have already been renovated so far.
