Bahrain: Karnataka NRI forum elects new members

Bahrain, Apr 10: Karnataka NRI (Non-Resident Indian) unit set up in Bahrain. Its executive committee was formed and new office bearers were elected, Raj Kumar Bhaskar as president, Vijay Kumar Naik Vorkadi as vice president, Roshan Lewis as general secretary, Mangesh Desai as treasurer, Vitla Jumaluddin as assistant general secretary and Mallikarjuna Patil, Raghavendra Prasad S, Ganesh Manila as executive committee members.

Karnataka NRI Chapter Established in Bahrain

The Karnataka Non-Resident Indians (NRI) community in Bahrain is proud to announce the formation of NRI Forum Karnataka Bahrain. The NRI Forum Karnataka Bahrain aims to connect and empower Kannadigas living and working in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The forum is registered under NRI Forum Karnataka Government, a key initiative of government of Karnataka formed to forge a symbiotic relationship between state and its diaspora. It is also given to understanding that Karnataka government has plans to start NRI ministry in state with construction of NRI Bhavan in Karnataka.

The forum will serve as a platform for Kannadigas to: Network and socialize: Build lasting connections with fellow Kannadigas through events, gatherings, and cultural celebrations.

Support and guidance: Offer assistance and guidance to new arrivals in Bahrain, helping them integrate smoothly into the local community. Promote Karnataka: Showcase the rich culture and heritage of Karnataka to the Bahraini community and celebrate important festivals together. 

Philanthropy: Give back to the society through charitable initiatives that support causes in both Karnataka and Bahrain. The Karnataka NRI Chapter Bahrain is open to all Kannadigas residing in Bahrain. The major focus of the chapter is to offer benefits to around 25000 Kannadigas who reside in Bahrain. The forum, under the aegis of the NRI Committee Karnataka, will offer its services in Bahrain. according to the 'NRI code of conduct' under the leadership of Karnataka NRI Rajyotsava Prashasti Awardee Mr Raj Kumar Bhaskara.

The forum will be highly obliged to get all the advises and support from Indian embassy. The following members who are very active in various organisation are appointed as office bearers of the chapter.
