Mangaluru: Woman drawing water falls into well, rescued

Mangaluru, Apr 12: A woman lost her balance while drawing water from a well and fell into it, but was rescued by fire service personnel from Kadri on Thursday, April 11.

The woman, Tressy D’Souza (58), a resident near Bikkarnakatte, was drawing water from the well in the evening when she felt dizzy and fell in.

Her family members immediately informed the fire service station personnel, who promptly rushed to the scene and retrieved her from the well.

The well contained more than eight feet of water. Tressy managed to hold onto the rope installed for the pump in the well, as per information provided by the fire service personnel.

The operation involved assistant fire service station officer Rajeeva, chief fire serviceman Chandrahasa Salian, and personnel Dayakara, Puneet, Shivaraj, and Pavan Kumar.
