Bhopal, Oct 8: A two-day old baby girl, buried alive, was found by a farmer on Thursday October 6.
The farmer heard the baby's cry when he was working in the afternoon. Follwing the cry, he found the baby, which had somehow managed to push her head above the ground.
The farmer rushed her to a nearby hospital. Medical reports prove that the girl was just 48 hours old when she was brought in.
The baby is now slowly recovering.
Investigations are on to trace her parents even though the baby will not be returned to them under any circumstances.
Incidents such as this are a common in the state. Madhya Pradesh has the highest record of female feoticide and infanticide.
